The bot’s purpose is to raise awareness of the situation in Belarus, but its scanning and brute-force activity represent a genuine security risk, particularly due to the potential for exposing servers using default credentials. The ISC considers it a straightforward scan-and-brute-force bot and advises treating it as an untrusted scanner, regardless of its stated intentions.
