BigCommerce Data Stolen via Ribon Apps Hack

BigCommerce experienced a supply chain attack through a compromised Ribon app, leading to the theft of customer data, including names, email addresses, and contact information. The attackers gained access by exploiting a key held by Ribon, a third-party application, and injected malicious scripts into a limited number of merchant storefronts. BigCommerce swiftly removed the affected apps and notified merchants to mitigate the damage.
