Dutch authorities, through the FIOD, have taken action against individuals suspected of facilitating cyberattacks and disinformation campaigns originating from Russia. The arrests target two IT entrepreneurs who operated companies providing hosting infrastructure used by entities involved in malicious activities. The investigation revealed a complex network centered around Stark Industries, a hosting firm sanctioned by the EU for enabling destabilizing activities, and its connection to the pro-Russian hacker group NoName057(16), which launched DDoS attacks against European government agencies. The operation also implicated the hosting provider MIRhosting, which provided services to the Neculiti brothers and their Stark Industries firm, known for offering VPN and proxy connections used to mask online activity.
