A new extortion group, ExfilSquad, claims to possess a significant amount of sensitive data from municipal services and CRM platforms, including data from Houston, Atlanta, and Microsoft. They’ve released sample data, primarily from Dynamics 365, revealing details like user accounts, addresses, and internal ticketing systems. While the group claims to hold 14 datasets and threatens to release them permanently, the evidence presented so far is insufficient to confirm the full scope of the alleged breaches and the group’s claims are designed to create public pressure before independent verification.
