Hush Security Raises $30 Million for AI Agent Governance
Hush Security, a cybersecurity startup, secured $30 million in Series A funding to bolster its AI agent governance platform. This platform aims to provide centralized control and security for AI agents within organizations, addressing the unique identity management challenges posed by autonomous software.
Hush Security, a cybersecurity startup, announced today that it has raised $30 million in a Series A funding round, bringing the total amount raised by the company to $41 million. The investment was led by Akamai Technologies, with previous investors Battery Ventures and YL Ventures participating. Hush Security emerged from stealth in September 2025 with a machine access platform designed to manage and secure AI agents within organizations. The platform operates by creating a central registry of all AI agents, providing scoped just-in-time (JIT) permissions at runtime, eliminating the need for traditional credentials. It also logs every action taken by an agent and offers a centralized kill switch for immediate deactivation. Hush’s solution allows organizations to identify agents running in their environments and map the Machine Control Policies (MCPs), tools, and resources they reach and use. The company intends to use the funding to expand its engineering and sales teams, enhance support for the growing AI agentic ecosystem, and grow its corporate partnerships.
