HiddenLayer Raises $100 Million for AI Runtime Security
HiddenLayer, an AI security company, secured $100 million in Series B funding to bolster its platform and address the growing need for securing AI agents and autonomous AI systems. The investment will allow them to expand their capabilities in detecting and preventing anomalous behavior within AI agents, protecting intellectual property and ensuring secure AI adoption for enterprises.
HiddenLayer, an AI security company, announced on Wednesday that it has raised $100 million in a Series B funding round, bringing the total raised to over $155 million. Founded in 2022, the Austin-based company focuses on securing the entire lifecycle of AI applications, particularly protecting AI agents – software that performs tasks autonomously – from evolving threats. Their enterprise platform provides tools for discovering vulnerabilities, securing the AI supply chain, simulating attacks, and offering runtime protection for these agents.
The company intends to use the new funding to further develop its platform, specifically expanding its capabilities in agentic runtime security. This will allow them to provide enterprises with greater visibility into how AI agents behave in production environments, enabling them to identify and stop anomalous behavior, including manipulation, misuse, and unauthorized actions. HiddenLayer emphasizes that only end-to-end AI-native security can continuously test and prove trust in AI systems. The investment round was led by Delta-v Capital, with additional support from Booz Allen Ventures, Microsoft’s Venture Fund M12, Morgan Stanley, and Ten Eleven Ventures.
