Oak Emerges From Stealth Mode With $60 Million in Funding
Israeli cybersecurity startup Oak has secured $60 million in seed funding to develop an AI-powered Identity Operating System, aiming to consolidate fragmented identity governance tools and address the growing challenges of managing AI agents and access across diverse IT environments. The company’s platform utilizes a continuous control plane and AI to provide real-time risk decisions and remediation for organizations struggling with complex identity management.
Israeli cybersecurity startup Oak has emerged from stealth mode, announcing a $60 million seed funding round to build an AI-powered Identity Operating System. The investment was co-led by Accel, Greylock Partners, and CRV, with additional support from Hetz Ventures, AlphaDrive Ventures, and angel investors. Founded in late 2025, Oak is based in Tel Aviv and San Francisco.
Oak’s platform is designed to replace existing, disconnected identity governance and security tools with a single, continuously updated control plane. It connects to an organization’s applications – including cloud, on-premises, SaaS, and homegrown systems – within hours, understanding each identity based on raw evidence rather than static records.
The platform creates a map of each identity’s access against what it uses, providing identity governance throughout the entire lifecycle. Oak’s platform is complemented by AI-driven real-time risk decisions and remediation capabilities.
The company was co-founded by Shai Morag (Chief Executive Officer), who previously founded Integrity-Project (acquired by NVIDIA’s Mellanox), Secdo (acquired by Palo Alto Networks), and Ermetic (acquired by Tenable); and Tal Marom (Chief Product Officer), who previously led product teams at Tenable and Salesforce.
According to Marom, the company spent months speaking with over 100 CISOs and IAM leaders, who expressed similar frustrations with managing multiple disconnected tools and a lack of visibility into identity usage, particularly concerning the increasing use of AI agents. Oak’s platform is positioned as a solution to address these challenges and accelerate security teams’ efforts in defending enterprises.
