Cylake Raises $245 Million Ahead of Cybersecurity Platform Beta

Info
Summary

Cybersecurity startup Cylake has secured $245 million in funding to develop its AI-native cybersecurity platform, designed for organizations unable to rely on public cloud infrastructure due to data sovereignty and control requirements. This investment will fuel the company’s growth and prepare for a beta release expected by the end of 2026, targeting government agencies and highly regulated enterprises.

Cybersecurity startup Cylake has raised $245 million to accelerate the development of its sovereign security platform. The company’s platform is intended for organizations that cannot depend on public cloud infrastructure due to data sovereignty and control needs. Cylake’s platform will combine data and context from across an organization’s infrastructure into a unified foundation for protection and AI-powered workflows, addressing visibility gaps created by separate security products. The company emerged from stealth in March 2026 with a $45 million seed investment led by Greylock Partners. Cylake has since grown to more than 40 employees and plans to continue hiring across engineering, product, and other functions. The financing was raised through a convertible note with participation from Lightspeed Venture Partners, Picture Capital, and Redpoint Ventures. Ravi Mhatre, partner and co-founder at Lightspeed, will join Cylake’s board of directors, while Picture Capital partner Rakesh Loonkar will become a board observer.
